The covid-19 epidemic has affected economic opportunities throughout the world, including in Croatia. Many families have experienced an existential crisis due to the loss of a job or a sudden, extremely reduced income. Operation Blessing, in cooperation with several organizations and churches in Croatia – Evangelical Pentecostal Church (EPC), EPC Virovitica and Etno Nova association – carried out humanitarian projects in which families across Croatia were helped with food and hygiene packages. The project included families who were already on the verge of poverty and were at great risk, as well as families who found themselves in an existential crisis due to the epidemic and needed help to get out of it.
